How to Install Beyond Inbox?

Although installation of Beyond Inbox is a self explanatory task, here are some guidelines for your reference.
Installation on different operating systems differs a bit, please follow the given steps for installation.

MS Windows

1. Download beyondinbox.exe from download page for Windows Environment.
2. Read end user agreement and (if agree) select download link .
3. Run or Save exe file to your hard disk. Download takes time depends upon your speed of Internet connection.
4. Open the folder and double click on application icon.
5. A wizard appears, simply follow steps.
6. On welcome screen, click Next.
7. On next screen select option from
   • Install for anyone using this computer [1]
   • Install just for me [2]
   • Portable install [3] .
8. Check license agreement and click Next.
9. Choose location where you want to install Beyond Inbox.
10. On completing Beyond Inbox setup wizard click Finish button to close wizard.
11. Beyond Inbox is installed on your machine at Start --> Program files --> Beyond Inbox --> Beyond Inbox, Web Site , and Uninstall [If you select portable then it will be extracted only at specified location.]

NOTE : If you have installed Beyond Inbox earlier then older files will be renamed with prefix ' Current System DateTime '

Macintosh Operating System

1. Download beyondinbox.zip from download page for Mac OS X Environment.
2. Read end user agreement and (if agree) select download link .
3. Save file to your hard disk. Download takes time depends upon your speed of internet connection.
4. Extract the zipped file.
5. Run BeyondInbox.App.

Linux Operating system

1. Download BeyondInbox.tar.gz from download page for Linux Environment .
2. Click on 'Download Zip Version' from section download Beyond Inbox on Linux Environment.
3. Read end user agreement and (if agree) select 'Download' located down the page, right side or top middle.
4. Run or Save file to your hard disk. Download takes time depends upon your speed of internet connection.
5. Extract BeyondInbox201004xxxx.tar.gz
6. If you have java installed on your system then you need to run Beyond Inbox from BeyondInbox.sh
7. If you haven't Java installed on your system then you need to follow these steps before running Beyond Inbox from BeyondInbox-jre.sh file.
   1. Download latest JRE.
   2. Open BeyondInbox-jre.sh file for edit.
   3. Provide the path up to JRE/bin/java for "chkpath" variable.
   4. Update the value export PATH variable. e.g. export PATH=$chkpath:${PATH}.
      OR
      Copy the latest JRE from your local system to Beyond Inbox root folder & Rename it to ‘jre6’ .
8. Now Go to Applications >> Accessories >> Terminal .
9. Get into Beyond Inbox Home path.
10. Run BeyondInbox.sh/BeyondInbox-jre.sh file with command- sh BeyondInbox.sh or sh BeyondInbox-jre.sh

• ˆ Install for anyone using this computer: This option installs Beyond Inbox in program files of all the users exist on user’s machine.
• ˆ Install just for me: This option installs Beyond Inbox in program files of an specified user.
• ˆ Portable install: This option installs Beyond Inbox on desktop and there will be no entry in startup. Portable install can be run within any portable media like pen drive, CD etc.
